A long-time Somerville resident, Katherine began her career as a real estate agent after nearly 10 years of experience as a local landlord and investment property owner. She and her husband own three multi-family properties in Somerville. Going through the process of acquiring the properties, renovating them, finding tenants and being a landlord has been challenging at times but also rewarding. Along the way she learned a lot and developed a passion for the business.
Katherine grew up in Durham, North Carolina. She came to the Boston area for school in 1996 and has lived in the area ever since. She received her Bachelor of Science from MIT in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and has worked in Software Engineering for more than two decades. She is a fully licensed real estate agent and is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®. She combines her technological background and detail-oriented approach with her personal experience in real estate and investment properties to help each client achieve their real estate goals, whether you're a first timer trying to navigate the market, or a more experienced buyer, seller or investor.
These days, Katherine lives near Davis Square with her husband and two small kids. Before she had kids, she enjoyed hosting dinner parties for friends, rock climbing, playing tennis, skiing, and binge-watching mindless shows on Netflix. Now her spare time consists of peanut butter & banana sandwiches, chasing after toddlers who don’t want to nap, and endless mind-numbing repetitions of Baby Shark (doo-doo, doo, doo-doo).
